Hi folks!

Today I want to write a little bit about a topic that bugs me more and more. It seems I'm getting more and more shooting requests that sound something like this: „Hi, wanna shoot with me? Regards, XXX" ... I don't know what you think about it, but I expect a shooting request to be a little bit more personal and polite (especially, because most of these requests want to shoot on a TFP-basis with me ... but I'll write a seperate blog-post about that topic soon).

Beginning:

It may be, that I'm a little bit „oldschool", but I expect at least something like „Hello Manuel" or a „Good morning ...". You need not write something like „Dear Sir" or something, but a polite, personal form of adress is always a great start.

After that you may write one or more reasons why you want to shoot with me. I don't expect you to praise my pics but something like „I like pic XY, I'd like to do something like this" or „I want to shoot with you because ..." would be great ... just be a little creative, after all we'll be creative when shooting too ... ;-)

Main part:

And now for the most important part: WHAT do you want to do with me? Do you have any concept/idea? Perhaps even with a couple of pics to show what you want to do? Do you have the necessary outfits or can get them? Do we need a MUA/Visa? Do we need a special location? On which basis do you want to shoot, pay or TFP? – as mentioned before, I'll write a blogpost about TFP soon ...

And really important: If I don't know you, i really need some pics of YOU. If possible not or just slightly processed images that show you like you are with a good quality. You can send me a link to your website, model-account or FB-page too, but don't make me searching for it ... ;-)

Final:

Well ... I expect a polite conclusion too ... something like „best regards" is the least you can do ... combined with your REAL name (if you have used some kind of pseudonym before).

This kind of shooting-request would be much more pleasant than a „Hi, wanna shoot with me?" ... and has much better chances to actually get read by me ... depending on my mood a „hi, wann shoot"-request can get deleted or can get answered with a plain „No". If you'll write me polite and personal request, I'll promise that I'll read it, think about it, and answer in an equally polite and personal way!!
