I want to write a little “travel report” about a journey that took place back in May ... and I only now have time to write about it, as I had loads of stuff to do the last 1,5 years ... better late than never, right? Along with the report I want to show you some of the pics I took there.
For this trip I was booked as a “photographic company” and it is with kind permission of my customer that I can show you a couple of the pics. As some of you know, Scotland is more or less my second home (as home is, where the heart is) ... I just love the land, the people and of course: the whisky ... and I’m lucky to be there time and again ... 😉
During this visit we had a very convenient way to travel: a small airplane. This made it possible to hop all across the country, from Perth to the Isle of Skye, further on to Kirkwall (Orkney) and back down to the Isle of Islay where the “main goal” of our journey was. Besides “some” distilleries we’ve enjoyed the beautiful landscape (with great weather and low flying altitudes) which resulted in some great moments.
I have kept this series in a black-and-white style firstly because I just love it that way, and secondly because sometimes we had some tricky light situations which is way less obvious in black and white. I hope these pictures result in a little spark of “wanderlust” in a number of you readers ... as I’m writing these lines, I’m sitting in front of my PC with a dram of good Scottish whisky ... dreaming about my next trip north ... 😉
